Scaffolding RCC changes

From April 2023, EarnLearn | Te Pūkenga is no longer accepting new applications for their Recognition of Current Competence (RCC) programme for scaffolding or rigging. However, if you have an existing application with EarnLearn and have been allocated to the assessor, your application will continue to be processed through to completion.

EarnLearn’s focus continues to be on delivering high quality, accessible and relevant programmes to the country’s scaffolding and rigging sector. This includes working closely with industry groups to conduct a review of their current programmes, and improving the service and support provided to learners and employers.

Experienced and/or overseas trained individuals will still be able to gain a Certificate of Competence (CoC) through the SARNZ Recognition Programme. For people with a long history of practical experience or a relevant overseas qualification, this process offers a pathway to formally recognise their capability.
